The Department of Christian Education is to help the church develop and select Christian literature, programs, seminars, and work shops in order to share and apply biblical truth--in areas of prayer, witnessing, work, worship and decision-making. It will assure that solid biblical content is presented throughout church life. It will also challenge members to develop the skills and desire to dig deep into God's Word by raising thought-provoking issues for individual or group benefit.

Sunday School Ministry

1. To encourage all students from young and old to participate in Sunday School. 2. To make our Sunday School spiritually enriching. 3. To establish a committed, educational environment. 4. To provide theologically based lessons on the Bible. 5. To have a dependable volunteer staff, who because of their personal commitment to Christ, serve His Church as teachers. 6. To provide the staff and students with curriculum and other resources which inspire learning.

To cultivate the Christian life of men through the study of God's word, worship, fellowship and service. To enlist, teach, and train un-churched men to enter into a vital relationship and personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ through the study of the scriptures.
To provide a platform for the discipling, mentoring and inspiring the men of the church to walk in all holiness redeeming the times for the days are evil by the teaching of the scriptures.

The Teens, Seniors and Young Adults will gain wisdom and understanding in the scriptures. These studies will challenge maturing minds to seek God’s will through His Word. In addition to examining the Scriptures, each lesson contains application for today and insightful questions.

Juniors & Intermediates

These lessons contain thought-provoking questions for discussion and will help children in the Junior and Intermediate years begin to apply the teachings of the Bible. These materials offer a variety of methods such as: fill in the blanks, true or false quizzes, word scrambles, and "points to ponder".

New Members - Adults

The New Members Class was created to give new adult believers a basic foundation. Having proper foundation allows new believers to grasp basic faith doctrines. A new born-again Christian needs the milk of the Word in order to grow and be established in the faith before digesting meatier subjects. Doctrinal topics covered in this class include Repentance, Meaning of Salvation, Trinity, Spiritual Gifts, the Church, Worldly Separation. From milk to meat.

Children's Church

We structured Children Church to allow the children as well as the ministry volunteers a better experience of worship. We have scrutinized every part of Children Church from the environment to snacks. We have determined what works and what doesn't. We pray that each parent would share our vision and goals for the ministry. We are in the ministry of worship and teaching. We cannot stress enough the importance of readying a child for worship. Bible Study

Provides a wealth of insight for the challenges of our contemporary world. Each week's material includes: overall lesson Scripture, key verse, and complementary devotional reading for personal quiet time. The objective of each study is clearly stated as well as historical context, and life application. Much more than knowledge, this material is designed to help the adult student to reach higher levels of understanding and faith.

Leadership School

The current session of the MCBC Leadership School is held each Saturday from 8:00am - 12:30pm. These classes are part of the COPP Program (Certificate of Progress Program). This is a national accredited curriculum of the Sunday School Publishing Board – Nashville, TN. The COPP Program will be offered year round. The courses are designed for all Sunday school teachers, superintendents, preachers, lay leaders, members, friends, and interested persons of Christian Education. This is an excellent opportunity for serious students of the Bible to increase their academic skills and their biblical knowledge. Each member of the church and the public is encouraged to enroll for a modest fee in this on-going study of God's Holy Word.
